Your journey begins at Daley Plaza, right next to the iconic Pablo Picasso sculpture. Your guide will share the story behind this masterpiece: why it’s there, who created it, and what makes it so special. This is just the start of your encounter with Chicago’s captivating art scene!
Next, you'll head to the Theatre District, Chicago’s liveliest hub, with Broadway-style theaters and architectural gems. Among the highlights is the legendary Willis Tower, which was once the tallest skyscraper in the world. Since 1974, its Skydeck on the 103rd floor has been an absolute must-see.
While admiring the skyscrapers and learning a couple of details, you will come across Alexander Calder's Flamingo, in the Federal Plaza, which is a red sculpture that does not go unnoticed, as it is 16 meters high.
Later, your guide will take you to Millennium Park, one of Chicago's most visited sites. You will see the famous Cloud Gate, a silver sculpture known as “The Bean” for its curious shape.
You will also visit one of the most famous areas: the Lurie Garden, a 2-hectare park full of paths and ornamental plants that make a beautiful contrast with the skyscrapers of the city. Here you will learn how this place was built on the shores of Lake Michigan and how it helped in the transformation of Chicago: from being an industrial city to these cosmopolitan airs.
After a 2-hour tour, the free tour of Chicago will end in front of the Wrigley Building, located on the other side of the river and one of the most classic skyscrapers in the city. Undoubtedly, an entertaining tour, full of art, history and the good vibes of beautiful Chicago.
