Pisa is one of Italy’s most iconic cities, and you can explore it on this trip, with transport from Florence and a guided tour in English. You’ll also get to climb the famous Leaning Tower!
The tour starts by meeting your guide at Piazzale Montelungo, next to Santa Maria Novella train station. Then, we’ll board a comfortable coach for the 80 km journey to Pisa.
Once in Pisa, we’ll begin with a walk along the medieval walls, arriving at the Santa Maria Gate. Here, you’ll be able to admire the stunning Piazza dei Miracoli, a UNESCO World Heritage site that houses Pisa’s main monuments, including the world-famous Leaning Tower.
First, we’ll visit the interior of the Pisa Cathedral, a priceless example of Romanesque architecture founded in 1063. The tour continues with a visit to the Baptistery at the Monumental Cemetery. Inaugurated in 1363, it is the largest baptistery in Italy, where you can admire its impressive interior and its breathtaking 54-meter-high dome.
Finally, you’ll have the chance to climb the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the city’s most famous monument and one of Italy’s symbols. You’ll also have some free time to explore the area and take photos before heading back to Florence.
