Our first stop will be at the picturesque Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, where we will stroll along paths flanked by tall, green bamboos that rustle in the breeze, creating an atmosphere of peace and serenity. This is a magical place where tall bamboos and leaf-covered paths create a serene atmosphere.
Next, we will head to Kinkaku-ji Temple, known as the Golden Pavilion, where you will have free time to explore this iconic Buddhist temple, covered in gold leaf, standing majestically over a tranquil pond, offering a picture of perfect harmony between architecture and nature.
Our next stop will be at the stunning Nijo Castle, a fortress that reflects the grandeur of the Edo period and has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its elegant gardens and architecture will transport you back to feudal Japan.
You can explore its extensive gardens and tatami rooms decorated with works of art, reflecting the lifestyle of the Japanese nobility. Don't miss the famous “nightingale singing system”, an ingenious security mechanism of the time.
Afterwards, we will visit the Kiyomizu-dera Temple, famous for its wooden terrace offering panoramic views of the city. This temple, which was built without using a single nail in its construction, is an architectural and spiritual marvel. From here, you will enjoy panoramic views of Kyoto and explore the charming surroundings, full of handicraft stores and traditional Japanese sweets.
We will end our tour at Fushimi Inari, known for its thousands of red torii winding their way up the mountain. Take advantage of the free time to explore the trails that will take you through a unique landscape, where each torii tells a story. Enjoy the beauty of this spiritual place and the connection with nature.
