Get ready to discover Évora, the Capital of Alentejo, a stunning place with so many treasures to explore.
As you leave Lisbon heading to the Alentejo, the scenery changes to rolling cork oak forests and vineyards. Once we get to Évora, you'll be surprised by how The Roman Temple of Diana (or the Roman Temple of Évora) contrasts with the traditional Portuguese buildings that surround it.
Next, you’ll visit the Chapel of the Bones, a fascinating place with walls covered in skulls and bones, giving you a glimpse into the city’s past. You’ll continue to the Cathedral of Évora, a UNESCO site that combines several architectural styles, from Romanesque to Gothic.
On our way back to Lisbon, we’ll make a pit stop in the Setúbal area to check out Adega Jose Maria da Fonseca, the oldest table wine company in Portugal. This winery is famous for its wine and has collected many awards for its top-notch offerings over the years.
After the visit, we'll finish with a delicious tasting of 3 wines (white, red and muscatel).
