Itinerary

The Spanish Quarter was born back in the 16th century when Spain ruled Naples. It's the heart of the city and the best place to get a feel for Neapolitan life. It has a bit of everything from local shops, to clothes hanging between buildings, some cool murals and religious art.

We'll start in Piazzetta Matilde Serao, near Via Toledo, and start on a historical vibe, walking through hidden alleyways and admiring stunning ancient palaces.

You will reach the top of the Spanish Quarter and see murals honoring the legendary Diego Maradona, the Argentine football hero adored by Neapolitans, and learn why he's so special, which is a not-to-miss activity to any football lover.

We'll visit the Sant'Anna di Palazzo church, a historical gem with a rich history in the San Ferdinando neighborhood . Then, explore the Vico Totò alley, dedicated to the famous Neapolitan actor and philanthropist, Totò.

Next up, we'll head to the Sant'Anna di Palazzo church in the San Ferdinando area. It's a real gem - there's this impressive dedication to the Madonna del Rosario, some interesting naval history, and even a dash of political intrigue thrown in.

Once we've uncovered all the fascinating bits there, we'll make our way to Vico Totò. It's an alley named after Antonio De Curtis, better known as "Totò". He was a local actor, poet, and all-around good guy who made quite an impact on Naples.

We'll head to Montecalvario, a vibrant neighborhood filled with local shops, markets, and street food. Learn about the Santa Maria della Mercede Church, a hidden gem with a fascinating story.

Our tour will end in Montecalvario, after exploring more alleyways, admiring art, and experiencing the joy of Neapolitan life. It's a must-do free tour in Naples!
