Poças Winery welcomes you to the wonderful universe of port wine. During the English guided visit, you will learn all about the production process of this unique type of wine made in the demarcated region of the Douro, not found anywhere else in the world.
You’ll discover its one-of-a-kind qualities and most importantly, how to taste and how to order an authentic port wine.
Poças is a family run business with over 100 years of history, one of the few true Portuguese Port Wine companies that has been managed by the same family for 4 generations now.
The first part of the 50-minute guided visit will take you through the cellar, which is currently home to more than 800 casks containing some of the most precious wines in the Poças collection. Discover which features make port wine so special and all about the Douro Valley, the oldest demarcated wine region in the world.
Next you'll take part in a tasting session where you can taste some of Poças winery’s finest wines.
