Doge's Palace, Bridge of Sighs & Prisons Guided Tour

Discover the Doge's Palace, one of Venice's greatest attractions. After meeting your guide, you will skip the line and enter the palace to enjoy a 1 hour and 15 minute guided tour of the ancient seat of the Doges.

The Doge's Palace is a Venetian Gothic masterpiece that represents an important historical legacy since its construction between the 10th and 11th centuries. For centuries, it was a symbol of the power of the ancient Republic of Venice.

The palace housed all kinds of functions: it was the seat of the government and the court of justice; from the seventeenth century the building of the New Prisons was annexed and connected through the famous Bridge of Sighs. It was the residence of the Doges until 1797, the year of the fall of the Republic, becoming a museum in the early twentieth century.

During the guided tour, you can access and learn about the history of its most important rooms, such as the Duke's Apartments, the Great Council Room, the armory, the prison and of course, cross the legendary Bridge of Sighs.

The palace houses works of art by masters such as Tiepolo and Tintoretto, whose “Paradise” is considered one of his masterpieces and, at 22 meters by 9,  the world's largest painting on canvas.

After the guided tour, you can stay as long as you want to continue exploring the palace. The ticket also includes access to the Correr Museum, the Archaeological Museum and the rooms of the Martian National Library.
