Itinerary

This 2-hour tour will take you through the best of Zagreb’s history and culture with professional English-speaking guides. You’ll also get a feel for modern daily life in this charming city. And if your tour starts at 11:00 a.m., you’ll get to witness the famous Gric Cannon firing at noon.

We’ll start at Ban Jelačić Square, Zagreb’s main square and the city’s most popular meeting point. There’s plenty to see here, including Manduševac, the city’s most famous fountain, which has deep historical significance and a legend you won’t want to miss.

From there, we’ll head to the towering Zagreb Cathedral, an iconic example of neo-Gothic architecture. Next, we’ll walk through Dolac Market, instantly recognizable by its bright red umbrellas, before making our way down Tkalčićeva Street. This lively street, lined with bars and restaurants, was once a flowing stream—some water still runs beneath it today!

Our next stop is Kamenita Vrata (Stone Gate), one of Zagreb’s most important landmarks, reached by crossing Krvavi Most. This place has an almost mystical feel, and the local legend surrounding it is one you’ll definitely want to hear.

Of course, no tour of Zagreb would be complete without visiting the city’s key institutions, so we’ll head to St. Mark’s Square, home to Banski dvori (the seat of government), the Croatian Parliament, and the Constitutional Court. We’ll also visit another fascinating square, Katarina Square, known for its Jesuit church and Zagreb’s unique street art.

Next, we’ll see Lotrščak Tower, a 13th-century fortress; St. Mark’s Church, famous for its vibrant tiled roof; and the Strossmayer Promenade, a beautiful tree-lined path offering some of the best views of Zagreb

As we near the end of our tour, we’ll walk down Radićeva ulica, an old street rich in history and traditional architecture, until we reach the Zagreb Funicular. This is where our journey will end, but we highly recommend buying a ticket and taking a ride—it’s an experience you won’t want to miss!
