Sintra Day Trip: Tour to Sintra, Cascais and Estoril with Pena Palace

This tour takes you to the stunning Sintra National Park, the magnificent Pena National Palace, the historic Sintra National Palace (optional), the popular Cabo da Roca, and the elegant coastal towns of Cascais and Estoril. Groups of up to 8 people maximum.

Explore Pena Park and Pena Palace in Sintra

Join us at 8:30 AM at the Hard Rock Café on Avenida da Liberdade in Lisbon for a delightful day trip to Sintra. Once in Sintra, you will visit the Sintra National Park, where you will see its impressive caves and its mysterious atmosphere.

After a walk through the park, you will visit the inside of Pena National Palace, one of the highlights of the tour, where you can appreciate the small architectural details and the lifestyle of those who inhabited this historic and colorful site. You will also be able to admire the Castelo dos Mouros  (the Moorish Castle).

Discover the Old Town in Sintra

Enjoy free time in the old town of Sintra. It's a must trying some of the delicious pastries: Travesseiro and Queijada. You still have some time, if you want, to visit the National Palace; (ticket is not included). 

Drive Along the Atlantic Coast to Cabo da Roca

After the break, we will continue to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of the European continent, from where you can admire the strength of the Atlantic Ocean, its particular nature, and the fishing activity among its rocks. Here we’ll stop for pictures so you can enjoy the sights of the dramatic cliffs of Roca Cape.

Visit to Cascais and panoramics views of Estoril

Next you’ll get to admire the powerful surf of the breathtaking Guincho beach, an upmarket beach for the whole year and a haven for surfers, windsurfers, and kite-surfers. 

Take a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast in our direction of Cascais. In Cascais you will have free time for lunch, to enjoy a walk along its bay or spend the time at the beach. This picturesque town became a summer holiday destination for the upper class of Lisbon in the early 20th century. 

Returning to Lisbon, we’ll drive along the coast passing the town of Estoril and its Casino.
