The tour will start at the Plaza de Armas, the busiest place in Santiago de Chile, surrounded by ancient buildings such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Historical Museum of Chile, the Central Post Office and the Fernandez Concha Portal. You'll hear peculiar anecdotes about the place's history that dates back to the 18th century.
We will continue to the Courts of Justice and the Old National Congress. These buildings show off a very unique architecture that will take you back to other times.
Our next stop is the Pre-Columbian Art Museum, a masterpiece of architecture that safeguards the rich cultural heritage of Chile and the Americas. As we admire its beautiful facade, we'll also delve into the fascinating history of these ancient civilizations.
The museum actively works to preserve, study, and share this heritage through ongoing research and educational efforts. The next stop is the famous Palacio de la Moneda, one of the most important heritage buildings in the city. There, you'll understand its colonial origins and how it became the seat of government.
Along the way you'll be able to see very important buildings which also take part of the city's heritage, such as the Stock Exchange, the Municipal Theater of Santiago, the active cultural center with the longest trajectory in the country, la Fuente de los Niños (Children's Fountain) and the Aritzia Building.
The tour will also take you to Cerro Santa Lucia, one of the most important public promenades in Santiago, which was declared a historical monument in 1983.
