Itinerary
We begin our tour in the Plaza de la Constitución, the heart of the historic center of Malaga, since the Muslim era, pedestrianized since 2002. From here, we will enter the famous Calle Larios, an elegant shopping street. Inaugurated in 1891, it is the most emblematic street of the city, famous for its design and pedestrian atmosphere.
Our next stop is the stunning Cathedral of Malaga, known as “La Manquita” for its unfinished tower, where we will explore its Renaissance and Baroque history and architecture. We will pass through the renowned Calle San Agustin, home to the Buenavista Palace, home of the Picasso Museum Malaga.
A guided tour of Malaga can not be missed without a visit to El Pimpi. El Pimpi is much more than a restaurant in Malaga; it is a symbol of Andalusian culture and tradition. Located in a historic building from the 18th century, this iconic establishment combines gastronomy, art and history in a unique atmosphere.
What makes El Pimpi special? For starters, its cozy character and its strong roots in the city's identity. Its walls are decorated with wine barrels signed by celebrities, and its atmosphere mixes the bohemian with the traditional.
Continuing on, we will visit the Roman Theater of Malaga, an archaeological jewel that transports us to the time of Roman Hispania. Although it dates back to the 1st century, surprisingly, this theater was not discovered until 1951!
Right next to it is the majestic Alcazaba, a palatial fortress from the Muslim era that offers panoramic views of the city.
If you are interested in learning more about this monument, you can take a free tour of the Alcazaba of Malaga.
Finally, we will go to the Museum of Malaga: an important monument of the city located in the Palacio de la Aduana, which houses the Museum of Fine Arts and the Provincial Archaeological Museum.
